Since the incidence and frequency of each disease varies in different geographic regions. This is considered in the need for the establishment and goals of research centers. With this in mind, the idea of the formation of the Mobility Impairment Research Center at Babol University of Medical Sciences in 2010 was achieved, and the principled consensus was established on the establishment of this research center, with the ongoing protection of the deputy research and technology assistant, as well as the honorary faculty members on May 13, 2013.

In addition to the Journal of Mobility and Health, the center has published three volumes of the book "Skeletal Muscular Biomechanics" (1393). "Keynesian and lower limb biomechanics" and “The principles of evaluation of the musculoskeletal system from a rehabilitation point of view" are other publications of this center which have been published by the faculty members of the center.
