The center received a resolution of principle of agreement, according to the decisions made at the 109th meeting of the Council for the development of Medical Universities of the Ministry of Health, with reference to the documents dated on September 10, 2008. It should be noted that on May 13, 2013 the definitive approval of the Infertility and Health Reproductive Research Center was given by the Development Council of the Ministry of Health. The center includes research team (physicians and experts), specialized stem cell laboratory, library, internet site and conference hall. Major activities of the center are in the field of research.
Currently, the center works on infertility and reproduction, and stem cell application with professors, specializing in the field of infertility and research experts. At the center, there are ongoing master's and doctoral dissertations and professional doctor. The center had six PhD by research students so far.

- Stem Cell Unit:
The Stem Cells Department at the Infertility and Health Reproductive Research Center, located in the Hashemi Building Comprehensive Laboratory operates in the field of reproductive medicine. The use of embryonic stem cells producing spermatozoa and oocyte gametes creates new hope for the treatment of infertile people.
In this lab, research on various cells associated with fertility and infertility involves embryonic stem cells, adult stem cells such as peripheral blood mesenchymal stem cells, bone marrow, menstrual blood, fat, sexually transmitted cells, sertoli cells, etc. In addition to the biology of the mentioned cells, the differentiation capacity of stem cells for the treatment of infertility is also studied. Additionally, various resources are used for application in tissue engineering and restoration medicine in collaborative research with other research centers.
- Scientific Journal
The Caspian Journal of Reproductive Medicine indexed in the ISC, ESJI, the Scientific World Index, the Committe on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Eurasian Scientific Journal Index, began to operate in 2014. The Director of this biannually journal is Dr. Gholamali Jorsaraei and the Editor-in-Chief is Dr. Zahra Basirat.
Books
The books entitled "Development BABY Conception to Birth"(2012), "Answering your inquiries on infertility" 2002 and "Baby growth in pregnancy to birth" (2013) have been published in this center.
- Recruitment Grant
This center with funding from the provincial government has succeeded in purchasing advanced equipment, including inverted microscope with a camera and a fluorescent light source, a laminar hood (Jtvc2x), Real Time PCR, water bath, Elisa reader and vacuum pump.
