After nearly 9 months of follow-up, the Health Research Institute was approved and officially launched to expand research, technology, and more research-related coherence in health-related fields in the university, as well as to achieve short-term and long-term goals, based on macro policies on improving the health of the country, based on the 241st Act of the Council for the Promotion of Medical Sciences Universities, dated November 16, 2014.

Health Research Institute (HRI) of BUMS started as the first university institute based on the activities of four research centers:
- Cellular and Molecular Biology Research Center
- Infertility and Health Reproductive Research Center
- Non-Communicable Pediatric Disease Research Center
- Social Determinants of Health Research Center
Now, after three years, this institute has a special place in achieving the goals set forth in the strategic plan of the university and the region, with the support of the Deputy of research and technology, the honorable board members of the university and the follow-ups of the competent chairman and experts.
